Eyerer & Chopstick – Haunting (Gui Boratto Remix)

7 May

Here’s a track from a few years ago, around 2007 if I am not mistaken. Eyerer & Chopstick is an alias of the duo Martin Eyerer and Chi-Thien Nguyen. If you like this, make sure to check out some of Martin Eyerer’s solo work, Chopstick’s collaborations with Johnjon and of course work of the legendary Gui Boratto.

Tomcraft – Loneliness

13 Nov

Today I give you a, by some, long forgotten classic: Loneliness. Classics like this just deserve it to be played today, both at home and in the club. Incredibly popular at the time of its release, it made the number one position on the UK Singles chart. Now, ten years later, we can still hear why.

Ante Perry vs. Tube & Berger – Human You

11 Nov

I had never heard of Ante Perry before this track, but what an introduction it was. When you are flanked by the great Tube & Berger a great track lurks right around the corner, but I am quite sure that Ante Perry had his fair share of influence on Human You. Final result? A banger of a track. No discussion possible.

Lana Del Rey – Summertime Sadness (Reich & Bleich Remix)

25 May

With the last two days in The Netherlands filled with sun there is no summertime sadness here. There is only summertime happiness. And a track to help you keep your happiness up this summer is paradoxically called Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Rey in the remix by Reich & Bleich. It turns out Lana Del Rey is perfect remix material since quite a lot of her tracks have been successfully remixed (and posted on this blog!).

Solvent – My Radio

17 May

My Radio really has a bit of a nostalgic feeling over it. Created by those sweet synths, that thick bass and the distorted vocals. It’s a track that makes you feel good and makes you nod your head like crazy. Well, it does that for me. Oh yeah, check out the video too.

Kölsch – Opa (Original Mix)

29 Apr

Ah Miss Melera, great DJ and source of many, many fantastic tracks has provided once again a tune to remember via her DJ sets. Once again it is a track by Kölsch. I already posted about the track Loreley (and about the pleasure of hearing it at Pleinvrees), and this time it is the track Opa. Kölsch’s real name is Rune Reilly Kölsch and he comes from Denmark. With great tracks like Loreley and Opa I’m sure he will release (or already has released) great tracks that will be posted and that you have to check out for yourself.

Etienne De Crécy – Fast Track (Vocal Mix) (Ft. Julien Delfaud & Alex Gopher)

13 Apr

This is a banger for sure. The upbeat tempo is just fast and pumping, there’s some really good playing with the bassline, the vocals are great and that guitar is fantastic. There are several versions/remixes of this track, but in my opinion this vocal mix is the best. I really like the vocals and I think they give the track just a little bit extra, but I admit that I’m sometimes a sucker for vocals. It would be so great to hear this track at a party. It just makes you move!

MSTRKRFT – Heartbreaker (Ft. John Legend)

12 Apr

John Legends smooth vocals and the great piano beat by MSTRKRFT. That’s the power of Heartbreaker. And the electronica at the end gives the track a nice little groovy sway. It really is a great melancholic track, but uplifting at the same time.

Coeur De Pirate – Comme Des Enfants (Le Matos Andy Carmichael Remix)

11 Apr

Check out this great track: Comme Des Enfants (Le Matos Andy Carmichael Remix). This has been a favorite since I heard it in a DJ set by Josh Gabriel. For me it is important that a track catches you right from the start and this track does so. The beginning melody always reminds me a bit of the Tiësto remix of the track Papillon, but it is not just that. The melody promises good things right from the start, the vocals sound great and then…the bass hits in. These three components are present throughout the entire track and make it such a good track.

The Chemical Brothers – Swoon (Don Diablo Remix)

23 Mar

Time for a dancefloor killer. The Chemical Brothers’ Swoon in the remix by Don Diablo. The result is a crazy, groovy, pumping track. The first minute sounds a bit strange, but from then on it gets good!
