Michael Kiwanuka

12 Jan

Time for a relaxing time off, time for something else than the house and techno of the last posts. It is time for Michael Kiwanuka, a young british guy playing beautiful songs. The songs sound like classic soul songs (think Otis Redding, Temptations etc.) played by a guy with nothing more than his guitar. The BBC called him the biggest upcoming talent for 2012 and I think they are absolutely right. His songs take you to those beautiful summer days, relaxing in a park.

And keep in mind, this guy doesn’t have an album out. He released three EP’s until today, of which I know I’m Getting Ready the best. It contains three beautiful songs, like I’m Getting Ready and Any Day Will Do Fine. He is about to release his full album on march the 26th, it is called Home Again and you just have to check it out. At least I will.
